This concept journal is directly connected to course learning objective #2. Students will be required to use their notes, textbook, and/or online resources to complete this journal. However, this is a journal and students are encouraged to write honestly and in your own style

. You will not be graded on grammar; slang is okay, but punctuation and capitalization still matter. You will be graded on the quality of the information and how well you apply and relate the course material. The answers should be typed in a Word document. Students are encouraged to use Times New Roman, 12-point font, single-spaced, 1″ margins. Please remember – detail matters. Each concept journal should be at least one page in length.

Once you have used a topic, it cannot be used for future concept journals. These means over the course of the semester, you will cover all 6 topics.

Pick one of the topics for your concept journal. Choose concepts and information from the chapter assigned. Apply and relate the topic to the concepts and information presented in the textbook. Concept Journal 1 should directly connect to Chapter 1.

You are encouraged to connect the textbook through statements like “In the textbook.” If you use an online resource, you need to copy and paste the website link at the end of your assignment. It does not have to be APA; just the link. Please remember Google is not the link; it is the search engine to get you to the link.
