What?
Make a Powerpoint about artists you have researched.
Why?
Use this research throughout the course of the session to spark ideas, help resolve issues, and inspire your assignments.
Use List of Artists to begin your artist research journey.
Use the PowerPoint Template to create a presentation of different artists, styles, methods, approaches, and concepts that inspire you, specifically in the realm of drawing.
Choose full-color (if the piece is in color), high-resolution images of the artist’s work. Dig to find statements, videos, or quotes from the artist about their work and their process.
Include 1 slide and answer the prompt of “What is Your Interpretation of Drawing?”
Include 5 different slides, showing 5 different Artist in each of the following categories:
Mark-making
Realism
Narrative
Interior
Portraiture
Landscape
Still-Life
Total of 36 slides with 35 different artists + “1 slide answering prompt of ” Interpretation of Drawing”
5. Each slide needs to include 3 out of the 7 following: Name, Image, Title, Date, Medium, Size, Source.
All slides should exhibit drawing or mixed media with analogue drawing component. (No painting, sculpture, photography, digital work, etc. unless a clear analogue drawing component is evident.)
You must find artists working in DRAWING MEDIUMS.
