Effective time management is essential for your success as a student and as a future professional. One of the biggest challenges in college is scheduling study time. In high school, you likely spent more time in class or on extracurricular activities, but in college, it’s up to you to manage your own study time. This becomes even more important in accelerated 8-week courses.
Successful students report spending 2-3 hours outside of class for every hour they spend in class. For example, if you are taking 15 credit hours (5 courses), you should aim to study at least 30 hours per week outside of class. The best way to ensure you’re using your time wisely and studying effectively is to create a schedule and stick to it.
