For this assignment, you are to demonstrate your complete understanding of professionalism in the workplace, utilizing concepts and activities from the course. You are to provide your own thoughts to the questions below, and not copy something from the internet. (That’s not professional, it’s called plagiarism, and will result in failure of the course). 1. New Employee Training

Suppose you are in charge of new employee training for your company. You have been instructed to make sure new employees understand the importance of professionalism in the workplace and that they know how to behave in a professional manner. What would you say to the new employees? Why is professionalism so important in the workplace? IF you had to provide a top-ten” list of professional workplace rules, what would be included

2. Professional Communication

Craft a professional email for the following scenarios:

A. Your supervisor has just given you feedback on your latest work. The feedback said you did not work your best and did not work well with your teammates. This is a surprise to you, and you do not agree with this feedback. Let your email response reflect how to handle this feedback.

B. You’ve been employed in your job for over a year and would like to ask your supervisor for additional responsibilities in an effort to gain more experience. The job can be whatever you choose.

Craft a scriipted voice mail for the following scenarios (what would you say? Remember, even though this is a written scriipt, it is implied to be a voice mail):

C. You are calling to confirm a client’s attendance and participation at a working lunch.

D. You are returning a call to a client who has expressed delight over the work you submitted.

3. Personal Reflection

You have been brought into the HR office of your employer. Apparently there is some concern about your professionalism. Describe your personal characteristics of professionalism as your defense. This is essentially a reflection upon your level of professionalism gained from the activities and content of the course. What would you say to the HR office in your defense?
