You must decide the exhibition’s theme from the art pieces we discussed in class, from Module 2 to Module 5 in the lesson series. Please choose one artwork from the class lessons as the main artwork from the lesson series above to be displayed at the center of the gallery. This work will be used to create the exhibition’s main theme and make pamphlets and posters. Please provide the title and theme of the art exhibition that will reflect the essence of your choice of artwork.

When discussing the main artwork’s historical significance, you should compare and contrast this work, pointing out the similarities and differences with one or two (or more) other art pieces studied in the class. Do not simply juxtapose comparisons and contrasts. This is for your argument about your choice of the main artwork for the show. Additionally, while you compare and contrast artworks, you must explain the uniqueness of your choice of the central artwork for the exhibition. When you compare and contrast, please discuss forms, visual & compositional elements, styles, art movements, historical context, cultural influences, patronages, materials, techniques, production methods, functions, symbolism/iconographic features, and locations.

Please incorporate the lesson materials (lecture slides, reading, videos, etc.) and show your understanding of them in your essay. Use proper art historical terms, concepts, and keywords in your writing. Use the various analysis tools we learned from the module 1, “How to read art (lecture slides, articles, and videos).”
